Our Rebrand

Honouring Our Past,
Defining Our Future

Our refreshed identity reflects both where we come from and where we are going. It honours our legacy, while continuing to build enduring value in a modern and dynamic marketplace.

The modernised brand is a refinement rather than a reinvention. It distils the strength, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit that have defined RTG into a cleaner, more contemporary expression, one that supports a future-focused strategy and a dynamic, diversified portfolio.

As we look ahead, our commitment to stability, disciplined governance and sustainable growth remains unchanged, as we position the group for the opportunities of tomorrow.

Manufacturing & Retail Expansion

Founded in 1937 as Judge Clothing Manufacturers, the company quickly established its first factory in Salt River, Cape Town. By 1945, it listed on the JSE as Rex Trueform and scaled rapidly, producing one million garments annually by 1947.

The group achieved global recognition in 1959 by pioneering international exports to top London retailers like Harrods. Adapting to shifting markets, the group launched the Queenspark retail chain in 1980 to secure a foothold in retail. In 2005, the group officially closed its historic manufacturing facilities, taking the first strategic steps toward repositioning its legacy assets for future growth.
